GroFin Aquatics

It's one of my favorite places to stop at and browse. Great selection of fish, shrimp, and plants! I've never had a fish die within a week of buying one, which I can't say when purchasing fish from a retail pet store. Staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. Frequent sales and I love the Lava stones and other aquascaping materials. Something for beginner fish hobbyists or expert! I've purchased shrimp, guppies, tetras, snails, and a bumblebee goby for multiple tank set ups.

I have been in several times over the course of the last couple years. I have been pleasantly surprised that staff has remembered the fish projects I have been working on and asked how its going. They have always been welcoming and patient with my many questions (I love to learn all I can). Price is going to be more than a big box pet store...but then you can be rest assured your fish won't die within two days like my corporate betta did. My GroFin fish are going strong! I always recommend them for quality fish and information.

This place may be well know for their plants as they claim. What we learned they are not known for is their knowledge of saltwater tanks. We have a very large saltwater tank thank has always been our prize. Our fish are almost like kids to us. This company came in to clean. Which came to them wiping the inside of the tank glass. Added beautiful fake coral which turned out to be very toxic to our fish. We lost one of our fish to the balancesin the waters being off the charts and our pufferfish almost died from eating the fake coral and couldn't digest it.when all came to us realizing what was going we were usable to get ahold of them to come clean the tank. Definitely need to be clear about knowledge on different fish!

My wife and I found this shop a few months back, we have been back 3 times since. The staff is helpful, the fish are healthy, and the plants are robust. We have gotten all our shrimp, snails, and plants from them and they are doing great, except for the 5 shrimp my betta ate... but that's not their fault. Since we have discovered this place all of our fish have come from them too. This is my new place to go in sioux city for my aquarium needs.

We love this store! Great variety! Healthy fish and plants! The staff is very knowledgeable! There are so many different fish to choose from here. We like to have the options for unique fish and plants. Check out the new Betta display! They are gorgeous!
